Day 3

As everyone is now aware, the cold front that hit the east and midwest has made its way to Arizona. We woke up to temps in the single digits and it wasn't expected to warm up over 34 degrees. John and I had to drop off Max with his Grandma for the day and bundled him up with a long sleeve onsie, sweater, pants, 2 jackets his hat and mittens. John was sweet enough to make sure we had a pic of himlooking similiar to the little boy in "A Christmas Story".
Max absolutely LOVES berries of all kinds! For dessert tonight we gave Max some blackberries.

Day 2

So I finally found the cord for the computer. Below is the pic I wanted to post last night. Max is usually this happy with exception of a few toddler moments!

Tonight our family joined the Graham family to celebrate Julia's 5th birthday at the Olive Garden. Max showed off his growing vocabulary by continuously yelling "Awesome!" to the two tables behind us. Max and his best buddy Zach had fun playing together at the table and were well behaved for the most part!

Day 1 of 365

So I decided to take picture everyday, post it, and then write a little blog about it. So today I took a picture of the two loves of my life, my husband and son. Got ready to download it to the computer and, of course, I can't find the stupid cord to link the camera to the computer. However, I didn't want to start off on the wrong foot with my blog so I will compromise and use the picture from one of the happiest days of my life, the day we finalized Max's adoption!

The weekend

John and I had a busy weekend. On Saturday we decided to go to Rose Canyon with Bruno. The weather was wonderful and Bruno had a great time playing in the water!

On Sunday I went to Phoenix with my sister, nephews, and my parents to visit family. I haven't seen my aunt, uncle, and cousins in over a year despite that they only live in Phoenix.

Camping continued

John and I had a lot of fun taking pictures with the fire!

If anyone has any suggestions of constructive criticism I would love to hear it!

First Blog

I've never been good at keeping a journal and I've tried many times. I follow several blogs of friends and have noticed that some have more pictures and then a blog about the when and why of the pictures. I love photography and am often playing with the camera and decided to try and blog this way.

I'll start with our camping trip last weekend. John and I have been wanting to camping for quite some time and finally went to Mt. Lemmon and stayed overnight. What I did not realize was that John has NEVER been camping before! When I discovered this I was very excited to introduce him to the wonders of camping overnight!
John and I got the tent set up with very little trouble!

John sawing off branches from fallen trees to make our campfire.

We believe this is Bruno's first time camping as well. Bruno did not like having o be tied up while we were there, but unfortunately, we cannot trust him to stay with us. However, Bruno did enjoy hiking with us and all the trees he was able to mark and grass he was able to eat!
The weather was beautiful!
